How do I configure my email services to work
with Microsoft Outlook 2000? |

| |
- Choose Tools from the menu
bar, then select Accounts.
- In the Internet Accounts
window, click Add, then select
Mail.
- In the proceeding window, type in
your desired name in the Display Name
field.
- Enter your Web-based email address,
and then click Next.
- In the My Incoming Mail Server
is a field, select POP3
server. Enter your POP3 host (for
example, mail.sample-company.com) into
the Incoming Mail Server box, and
your SMTP server (for example,
mail.sample-company.com) in the
Outgoing Mail Server box.
- In the proceeding window, type in
your user name (your entire Web-based
email address, for example, you@sample-company.com)
and password (the one you created for
your email account), then click Next.
- Finally, select what type of
connection you have, then click Next.
- After clicking Finish, you
will be taken back to the Internet
Accounts window.
- Click on Properties then
select the Servers tab and make
sure you have My Server Requires
Authentication checked.
- Now click OK and you should
be back to the Internet Accounts
window.
- Click Close and you're ready
to use POP3 under Outlook 2000!
